Freemasons continue to pump funds into Lincolnshire’s communities

A £500 donation from Freemasons of the Fenland Daylight Lodge at Long Sutton will help to sustain drop in sessions run by a charity for up to a year.
The support has been given to Safe Places, a mental health and wellbeing project based at Tonic Health in Spalding. It was initially set up due to a lack of mental health support, and received funding from the Lincolnshire Partnership NHS Foundation Trust’s Managed Care Network back in 2017, to establish a weekly group.
It currently runs a weekly drop in café every Tuesday at Long Sutton Cricket Club (behind the Masonic Hall) that’s funded for 12 weeks through the Clinical Commissioning Group from their Winter Pressures fund. Their wish is to be able to continue the drop-in sessions once the funding has ended. The Freemasons’ donation will enable them to run a group for 12 months and cover costs such as volunteer expenses , refreshment and room hire.
Throughout the week the organisation runs several social groups including Tea and Toast, Safe Places Meeting Group, Light Lunches, Coffee morning, Art & Crafts, Men’s Group, and Autistic Led.
