Two members of the Brayford Corks Freemasons have visited Lincoln youngster Theo and his family to give them another £1,000 to support home modifications that will help with his care.
Theo suffers from Ohtahara Syndrome, a rare form of epilepsy characterised by seizures and developmental delays. His family was given the money by Mike Clay and Ian Taylor. Mike said: “Theo is a wonderful little boy, and I guarantee he’d melt your heart if you were to meet him. The family has been struggling with the costs of alterations to their house in order to cater for Theo’s needs at home.
“This was the second time we have visited to give donations from money raised at a Brayford Corks meeting, and it was an absolute pleasure to hand over £1,000 cash to help towards the £10,000 they still need.
“The £1,000 was made up of cash raised at the last meeting of the Brayford Corks and a very generous donation from Pre-Loved Regalia in Lincoln, which is run by Ivor Hallam, Mark Driffill and their wives. We’d like to extend a massive thank you to them from all at the Brayford Corks Lodge – and of course Theo and his wonderful mum.”

A Freemasons ‘Cork Lodge’ exists for members to have a good time whilst raising money for disadvantaged or disabled children who fall outside of the remit of other major charities.
