Muddied but unbowed: Jason shows he’s a born survivor. How about making a donation?

Scunthorpe Freemason Jason Baker has conquered ten kilometres of mud and mayhem in his attempt to raise money for the Lincs2025 festival – but he hasn’t had the financial backing he’d hoped for.

He’s completed a 10km Born Survivor event, billed as the ‘ultimate military obstacle course’, with his path strewn with 32 obstacles set up by Royal Marine Commandos. Says Jason, a member of Industry Lodge at Scunthorpe: “It’s like a Tough Mudder event on steroids; muddier and tougher; a real challenge.”

He wanted to use the event to raise at least £2k for the Festival, possibly even making it an annual challenge. “I was prepared to tackle it on my own, but I would much rather have done it as part of a team,” he said.
