More than forty join Provincial Membership Forum – and the numbers are climbing..!

A donation of £500 from the city’s Lindum Lodge Freemasons will be put towards much-needed playground equipment at the city’s St Francis Special School.
The St Francis Special School caters for pupils from two to 19 years old, with wide-ranging special educational needs including physical and medical needs, Autistic Spectrum Disorders, social communication difficulties, and severe and profound learning difficulties.
The school is part of the Lincoln Saints Federation, the over-riding aim of which is to provide an inclusive education in the most real sense; preparing young people to take a confident and active place in society, who are well prepared to meet the challenges of adult life, including the world of work, continuing education and independent living and the world of day care provision for those for whom further education is not the most appropriate next step after leaving school.
The money was handed over by Lodge Master Trevor Burton and Almoner Martin Huckle. Before presenting the cheque, Trevor and Martin were given a tour of the School by the Head of Post 16, Nick Wray, and were able to meet students and members of staff during which they were impressed by the warm welcome.
The Freemasons New Provincial Benevolent Fund gives £500 to each of Lincolnshire’s 76 Lodges every year for them to pass on to the good cause of members’ choice.
